1. Course Description


Professional coaching education program provides comprehensive training in coaching and development of specialists in career management. The program is based on International Coaching Federation (ICF) competencies and focuses on their application in career-related professions.
It prepares students to start working with their clients according to highest standards in coaching and best practices in career planning.

  • Foundations of coaching: theory, philosophy, models and tools
  • Gaining practical coaching skills through the work with real clients
  • Mastering ICF core competencies and ethics

3. Who this program is for


This program is designed for everyone, regardless of their previous coaching education and experience. Students without coaching background will get intensive introduction in coaching and then will focus on development of their practical skills in career coaching. Those with previous coaching education will further master their competencies and their application in career field, learn new tools, approaches and models that are effective in career coaching. All students gain valuable hand-on experience by practice with real clients and working on individual cases.

The program has six mandatory modules focused on development of core competencies and practice, plus two optional modules (please see details in the Modules section)
  • Core 6 modules: usually take 6 months
  • Two optional modules: up to 32 hours (normally offered once a year in spring)

5. Formats



The program is designed for people who have full-time job and therefore most of activities scheduled on weekends and evenings. Program is offered in two formats that have same curriculum, number of hours and materials.

Classroom: class of 12 - 15 students, 1 weekend in every month - 16 hours (8 hours on Sat and 8 hours Sun from 10 am
until 7:30 pm with 1 hour lunch break and two 15 min breaks)
On-line: teleclass in a format of two-way video conference with presentations, whiteboard, group discussions for up to 10 students. 2 weekends in every month - 8 hours each
( 4 hours on Sat and 4 hours on Sun from 10 am until 2:15 pm with short 5 - 10 min breaks)

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience after graduation

Synchronous (Sync) - training hours spent in synchronous (real-time) interactions between faculty and participants. This interaction can take place in class or one-on-one, in online or face-to-face and include direct instruction, real-time discussions, observation and feedback or practice coaching sessions, and mentoring participants.
Asynchronous (Async) hours spent outside of real-time interaction between faculty and participants. Asynchronous hours include outside reading, writing, independent work on cases, practice coaching and various other activities that may occur outside of the synchronous setting.
Core competency – hours focused on the ICF Core Competencies.
Resource Development is any learning that falls outside of the ICF Core Competencies, but still contributes to a coach’s professional development (e.g., personal development, business building, etc.)

10. Graduation Exam



After completion of 6 core modules students can take the final evaluation (graduation Exam) in order to be awarded with Certificate Of Completion.
The Exam has a form of observed live coaching session with a person the student does not know in advance. Exam includes 10 minutes introduction to the 'client' and instruction and 20 minutes of coaching conversation between the student and the client where the student should demonstrate all core coaching competencies and abidance of ethical principles.
After the exam student will receive a written evaluation form and final result (passed or not passed)

All graduates are invited to the Graduation Ceremony where they receive their certificates and personal acknowledgement from the Program Director.
The ceremony is followed by a celebration event where all participants are involved into group activities and have a time to socialize and network with each other and graduates of prior years.
